  Advantages of the North

By: Angela Nummerdor

As the war between the Yanks and Rebels goes on, the North stays strong. The South may think that we are beginning to slow down, but we are just getting started. The great North will stand true until we have this war won! The North has so many advantages over the South, it seems almost impossible that the South has gotten this far. There is no way we will lose.

For starters, here in the North there is so much more industry that we do not have to worry as much about a shortage of weapons as the South. Those Southerners think that they are so much better off sticking with old-fashioned farming, but we'll just see about that! You can't grow a musket! They'll be begging at our feet in a couple of months for a truce.

Secondly, we have a significantly larger army in the North. If those Rebels wanted to win that badly, they would be a little bit more willing to fight for the cause. Even though we have a bigger population to begin with, there are plenty of people who are able to fight in the South that are not.

Thirdly, those silly Confederates have no one standing behind them. Here in the North, we have France and Britain helping us out with everything. They think they're so big and bad going against their government, but how are they supposed to beat us when they're up against so many people? If we run out of supplies, we have allies to come to the rescue, but if the South comes to a dead end, they're stuck.

Lastly, our government is so much more organized than theirs. Those Southerners don't have any real government happening. Here, we have Lincoln to organize us, to command the army, and to tell us what to do. In the South, they claim to have it under control, but in reality, it's just a mess.

Now, if you don't have any other reason to stay in support of your home country, just do it because it's the smart thing to do. All those people in the South will be even worse off soon enough. The United States have always been one country, and that's how it's meant to be. Those Southerners will learn soon enough that life was much easier as one country.
